Vismay Anand Sanghavi is a young Canadian artist, originally from Mumbai, India, born in 2003. He is currently based in Toronto, Ontario, where he lives, works, and creates art. Vismay is studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design University, specializing in the Drawing and Painting program.

      As an artist, Vismay has worked on various projects, including completing murals for different clients and receiving commissions for custom artwork. However, his artistic journey goes beyond these projects. His creative path is defined by a constant exploration of his traditional background and birthplace. This exploration serves as a mission for Vismay to not only gain self-awareness as an overseas Indian but also to delve into the politics, social systems, and history of his country of origin. Through thorough study and research, he aims to become a political voice for his people, both within India and in the diaspora.

     Vismay's primary focus as an artist lies in surrealism and, at times, realism, and he primarily works with oil painting. Nevertheless, he enjoys experimenting with various art mediums, color palettes, and compositions. For him, art is not limited to larger surfaces, but rather a continuous search for new techniques and perspectives after completing each artwork.

      In his artistic practice, Vismay strives to strike a simple balance between spontaneity and organization, both conceptually and technically. This balance is reflective of his approach to life as well. He uses his art as a medium to exercise this equilibrium and apply it to his daily life.
